PARTICIPANTS
Every exchange member of CEGH Gas Exchange has to take part in the clearing and settlement of spot market transactions.
An individual that is part of an exchange, but that does not possess the ability to settle or clear transactions is called a Non-Clearing Member.
The Non-Clearing Member has to deposit funds for a firm, a Clearing-Member, which has to carry out clearing actions on transactions that the Non-Clearing Member is not able to perform.
The direct participation in clearing and settlement is possible if an exchange member has a direct clearing license or a general clearing license of the ECC (Clearing Member CM).
The Clearing House ECC is the central counterparty for all exchange trades concluded on the CEGH Gas Exchange of the Vienna Stock Exchange. The Clearing House is also responsible or the financial and physical clearing and settlement of all trades concluded or registered, and for the risk management of the exchange operating company in accordance with the provisions of the respective valid Clearing Rules of ECC (ECC Clearing Rules).
