The launch of the EFET CEGH Biogas Certificates Standard Agreement helps market participants achieve ambitious European targets for green gases. It sets the stage for efficient trading of biogas certificates under (EU law based) national schemes.<\/p>\n

The starting position for the design of the Biogas Certificates Trade Agreement was the launch of our CEGH GreenGas Platform and therewith the possibility to\u202ftrade biogas certificates. Designed as a single trade agreement for Austria, the contract shows the potential to be used across key trading markets in the EU and for a variety of trade scenarios.<\/p>\n

CEGH takes great pride in the successful collaboration with EFET in developing the Biogas Standard Agreement. In a decarbonized energy landscape, the future of the gas industry lies in the utilization of biomethane and green hydrogen. Through the establishment of the CEGH GreenGas Platform, CEGH has emerged as a pioneering provider of trading services for green gases, specifically biomethane. The Standard Agreement was drafted in close collaboration with industry stakeholders and EFET Legal Committee Members.<\/p>\n
