In 2025 we commemorated a significant milestone for the Gas Market in Austria:
20 Years of CEGH – two decades of pioneering gas trading in Central Europe and beyond.
What began in October 2005 as a vision for a transparent and efficient gas market at the Austrian Gas Distribution Node Baumgarten has evolved into one of Europe’s leading energyhubs, setting benchmarks in innovation, trust, security, and market transparency, and now pioneering the transition to green gases such as biomethane and green hydrogen.
Here’s to the next 20 years of pioneering energy trading – thank you for being part of our journey!
CEGH GreenGas Platform
Established as one of the first platforms for marketing of green gases, it serves as a marketplace for biomethane and certificates/guarantees of origin and, since beginning of 2025, also for green hydrogen!
15 Years of Gas Exchange in Austria!
In 2024, CEGH celebrated its 15th anniversary of the founding of the Gas Spot Market in Austria!
On 11 December 2009, the Gas Exchange Market was launched in Austria as the CEGH Gas Exchange in cooperation with Wiener Börse.
